READING '10-JUN-09' DATE FORMAT AND THEN DERIVING '15-AUG-12' from it .

Hi, though this is related to reading normal date , yet I am not able to find any function module for reading this date format and perform calculation accordingly to other dates like reading data from '10-JUN-09' and writing data to '15-AUG-12' . If there is another way to read this date format apart from function module , please do suggest .
