GRC 10.0 Sync Jobs - Triggering Mails

Former Member

Hi All,

We have migrated from GRC 5.3 to GRC 10.0. All the configurations are done and New system is in use..

But when we schedule Repository Sync job, Emails (SPM Log Notification) are triggering to Controller. I think Emails should be triggered only when SPM Log sync is scheduled...     Please suggest at the earliest..

Thanks in Advance.

Hello,

basically the EAM log notification gets triggered based on parameter 4002 setting. If it is set to YES the email notification gets send automatically. If it's set to NO it is sent when you run the program GRAC_SPM_LOG_SYNC_UPDATE.

What is your setting for 4002?

Hi Alessandro,

Thanks for your immediate response...

We have set Parameter 4002 as YES. Normally in 10.0 we receive 2 Emails - One is when the user logsin and the other is when we do a GRAC_SPM_LOG_SYNC_UPDATE sync...

As of now we did not do any GRAC_SPM_LOG_SYNC_UPDATE Sync. we have done only Repository Object sync but SPM Log Notification Mails triggered.

Actually as per understanding for RAR we have separate jobs and for SPM we have separate jobs and mails shouldn't trigger for SPM when we run RAR sync jobs..

Pls correct if i am wrong...

Thanks in Advance...

Did you also run the program GRAC_SPM_WORKFLOW_SYNC? If parameter 4007 is set to NO the notification is sent to the controller when the program is run.

The rep sync job does not trigger any notification so I am a bit wondering.

Dear Hima,

Please check the parameters one again what you have set for SPM. There may be some settings you have set yes for triggering the jobs.

Also you can see in backend what jobs you had run if by mistake you or someone else have run the  SPM log synch update .

Thanks,

Varun

Hello Hima,

Your SPM Log sync job called action usage sync as well.

check Alessandro Banzer msg.

as you have mentioned you did migration from 53. to 10.0.

i would suggest you to delete those parameters for spm log sync and save.

and recreate it.

Hope it solves your problem.

Prasant
