UI5 library update to 1.22.3

Hi experts,

I'm using the Process Flow UI element, which only becomes available in version 1.22.3 of UI5. We are hosting our UI5 application on ECC (currently on 1.20.1), and there is no option to use the ondemand core js resource as that is blocked. I have managed to upgrade the particular library that I need (com.sap.suite.suite-ui-commons ) to 1.20.9 as that was the latest version before 1.22.3. However when I tried to apply the note that upgrades to 1.22.3 the prerequisite is 1.22.2, which I can't find anywhere.

Does anyone know where I can get an update for just that library, or do I have to update the entire UI5 component as part of a SP upgrade? We are trying to avoid updating all the libraries so we don't break anything else.

Any help would be appreciated.

Hi,

Check SAP note 1933498 - Upgrading SAPUI5 version in ABAP systems.

it is mentioned,

Since SAPUI5 version 1.12.0 a new SAPUI5 version (the second number in the version) can only be installed via support packages because a

version change has a lot of changes and this can not be handled from SNOTE.

As per the note, it is recommended to upgrade UI Add-On 1.0 version to applicable SP level.

Hi Chandra,

Thanks for the quick reply. This is what I was worried about, so I was hoping there was an alternative. Looks like there isn't!

Hi Jo,

yes you need to upgrade SP level.

I do not see any issue in upgrading from 1.20 to 1.22 as it will not break anything. we also upgraded recently and did not found any issue.

also there is an option for you to always execute the application to lower versions as mentioned in this thread Please see my reply in that thread.

Chandra
