When I select an object to install with grouping "Data Flow Before", I am constantly presented with the attached window, which I either have to cancel or accept, during the object collection process. This occurs multiple times (up to 20, 30, or more) depending on the complexity of the data flow of the object, regardless of whether I accept, cancel, or accept with different options. My guess is that I'm being prompted for each DataSource that is encountered in the collection process, but the window only indicates the source system. Is there some setting or note I need to apply so that I can just accept once - it is making the content installation process take a lot longer than I had expected. Just to emphasize, this is on the object collection step and not the actual installation.
I am on BW 7.4 SP7 with BI Content 757 installed. I have replicated all datasources from my ECC source system (content and active).
Any tips or suggestions are appreciated.
Update: this is a now a known issue with BW 7.40 and can be fixed by upgrading to SP10 or applying the following two notes:
1967117 - DataSource: Content installation with replication dialog box
http://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/1967117
2076990 - During BI content collection the DataSource replication dialog shows up
http://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/2076990
2076990 was originally only valid from SP6 to SP9, but SAP extended it back to SP1 so that it would work for our installation (SP5).
Thanks for all your input.

Hi Nathan,
I am getting same issue..
when i trying to install BI content it ask me to replicate data source from source system to BI even though all respective data source content version are already replicated in BI while creating source system with option Replicate as well..
seems both above sap note applicable to me but i can not implement this both SAP note as i am on already higher SP version SP13 (SAP_BW SP13 SAPKW74013) while these SAP note is valid till SP10..
is there any other alternative?
Dushyant.
Hello,
You have to first to transfer the Application Component Hierarchy:
SBIW -> Business Content DataSources -> Transfer Application Component Hierarchy
Then Transfer the Business content DataSources...
SBIW -> Business Content DataSources -> Transfer Business content DataSources

Hi Nathan,
Even i faced this issue and searched online but did not get the answer so for others who face same issue, try out below process to resolve it.
The metadata from SAP source systems is independent of BW metadata. There is no implicit assignment of objects using same names. In the source system, information is only retained if it is required for data extraction. Replication allows you to make the relevant metadata known in BW so that data can be read more quickly. The assignment of source system objects to BW objects takes place exclusively and centrally in BW.
While creating Sap Src system connection in BW a popup would be encountered whether to replicate Metadata or only activate the connection. In your case the replication was not chosen and only activation was done hence encountering the error. The solution would be, under sap src system context menu, choose activate and when the same popup appears choose replicate as well. This will resolve the issue.

Hi Nathan,
The source system needs to be connected to the BI system and metadata replicated. This is the reason for this pop up you are receiving.
Please refer to the link below for more information how to deal with this:

Hi Ashvin,
I've already replicated all of the DataSources from my ECC source system, and that source system is selected in the Source System Assignment. Also, I am not using the BI Content Activation Workbench that your link refers to, but rather the BI Content activation in the Data Warehousing Workbench (RSA1). The popup occurs during the automatic collection of objects. Any other ideas?
Thanks,
Nathan
Have you get "replicate datasource" in your source system before to install a new object?
