Adding a new substatus in Appraisal template

Hi All

I am trying to add a new substatus in phap_catalog_pa. The status has been defined in oohap_basic , but while checking the same in phap_catalog_pa , it throws the error , " Status cannot be deleted ".  I am able to view the substatus but unable to select the check box.

Please let me know how can i add a new status in the existing template.

Hi,

You can not make any changes if the template is in released mode.As seniors said un-release the template.And also try to check the substatus you created,in both Category group and Category.Then only you can see it in Appraisal Template status flow.

We have to add the substatus initially to category group say personnel appraisal in order to get the same at template level. My query is am not able to add the substatus at category level itself. Though am able to view the same in the status flow tab but unable to select the check box,

Hi Smriti,

I don't think the error is because your trying to add new status,but it might be because you have unchecked the above sub status as i can see in the Screen shot.Pls try to check the rest of Sub-status too.This might help you.

your appraisal template is in released status or not released status.

if it is in released status this error will come, you have to do un-release and then add new sub-status.

Hi,

Post the oohap_basic configuration done (T77HAP_SSTATUS).

confirm that both configuration and testing client are same.

If it is different import the configuration.

As per praneeth kumar said it is correct. After cancel release only you will be ale to change the configuration.

template->status ->cancel release.

My template is in unreleased status only. I can edit and make changes in the template but cannot add sub status at category group level. I have compared my other environment.  No status has been deleted. Still showing the same error.

Please suggest.

Also i think you have to maintain entries in Tcode : OOHAP_CAT_GROUP and  OOHAP_CATEGORY in the tocde oohap_basic.

Hi

Yes , configured substatus in oohap_basic and add them in oohap_category. The same substatus must be available in the table oohap_category. Once configured in the table , we can add them in the template and can be used in the document as well.

have you checked these two tables and your new status are there ?

VC_T77HAP_CAT_GROUP

VC_T77HAP_CATEGORY

as per your screen shot it is giving error for 5 entries, means your 5 newly created status.

The new status defined in oohap_basic was not reflecting under the T code : OOHAP_CAT_GROUP, I have to define the same status , substatus in this table , hence I was able to add the same in phap_catalog_pa.

you are talking about adding in the Existing Template. means which is already template status is released. make to status un-release and add the sub-status.

Am adding the status to the category group first that is Personnel Appraisal , my template is also in release mode. Still am unable to add the status defined in oohap_basic . While adding it says , " status cannot be deleted".
