hi pals,
i have come across a strange problem.
i built a query in which a characteristic is having a variable.
variable option is multiple selection.
but when i execute the query with this variable the query is picking only the first char data.it is not picking the second char.
in detail my char is like 0custid.
values r say 1000 and 2000 in variable.
but query is picking 1000 related info only not 2000 values
is there any clues regarding this
thanks in advance
Hi,
If several characteristics are assigned to one variable, the selection can only contain single values for every characteristic, but no value ranges.
Check it once.
If so u have to delete that characteristics.
Choose Delete characteristic to remove the assignment of a characteristic to a variable. Note that you can only save a variable when at least one characteristic is assigned

Actually, it should work.
What I did (provide it for you for checking if you did the same or similar):
Created a variable for a char: user entry, mandatory, ready for input, multiple selections.
Places the KF into columns and the char into rows. Restrict the char by the created variable.
Saved and ran the query. In the popup screen for variables clicked on the selection icon, ticked several char values and executed query. Everything works fine.
If you everything did like I said, then your situation has something to do with OSS Notes. There are many of them with similar symptoms. For example, # 899827.
Best regards,
Eugene

Hi,
This variable is of what kind, user entry, replacement path, customer exit?
What is the type of the char?

Eugene
