Delete Overlapping request Process Chain

Hi,

Recently I have been moved to a support project and I was doing some monthly maintenance work in process chain , adding monthly info packages and updating them in the process chain.

What I noticed in process chain that after IP loading variants, there is 'deleted requests in info package' variant with IP added to it but for august it is not maintained. Person who was responsible for it had added just the IP for august month and no IP in that 'delete requests---variant'. It's September maintenance I have to do .

SO my question is can I now add IP in that process variant ' delete requests...' for the month of august and September directly in the variant ? .

If yes, any other settings required or simply I can put the IP in overlapping deletion in that variant and save ?
