Hi,

Can anyone help me this question:

Does Powerbuilder 12.5.2 Support the Oracle 12c 64-bit Client driver ?

I developed and compiled the PB 12.5.2 program in win7 64 computer and deploy the application( exe and all needed dll ) to the windows server

2012 ( 64 bit ), Then I try to load up an icon in one client computer( win 7 64 bit) installed with oracle 12c 64-bit client...

It won't work, then I deinstall oracle oracle 64-bit client and install oracle 12c 32-bit client and try the application again... It works fine.

Looking forward to get the answer.

           regards,

Shiang Ye

To complete Bruce's answer about PowerBuilder 12.6:

64-Bit Windows Applications - New Features - SAP Library

System Requirements
The design time environment requires:
  • Windows SDK for Windows 7 or later
  • .NET Framework 4.0 or later
  • 64-bit Windows OS to test (development requires only 32-bit)

The runtime environment requires:

  • 64-bit Windows OS
  • PowerBuilder 12.6 64-bit system files
  • 64-bit third-party libraries, such as database drivers and external DLLs
  • Greater than 4 GB physical memory to avoid performance issues

You need to compile your application to 64 bit to use a 64 bit client.  If you're on Classic, you can't do that until you upgrade to 12.6.
