SAP Web Dispatcher Installation on MSCS Cluster

We are trying to install SAP Web Dispatcher on a MSCS Cluster. I am following the Note 1564222 - How to install the SAP Web Dispatcher in a Microsoft Failover Cluster? for setting this up.

Post the creation of SAP Resource Service in Step 10(C), I am unable to move the cluster resource to Node B.

"Error Code: 0x80071398

The operation failed because either the specified cluster node is not the owner of the group, or the node is not a possible owner of the group"

After looking into this issue further, I think the problem could the the advanced policies tab for the SAP Resource which specifies the owner as Node A only, I believe it should contain both Node A and Node B.

Any suggestions on how to fix the issue?

not sure why it is behaving like this but you can create the windows service manually on both nodes.

      - copy the file ntscmgr from the kernel directory to any local folder on node 0B

      - open elevated prompt and go to the folder with this file.

      - run command ntscmgr -install <Service Name>, give exactly same service name as node 0A

      - open regedit on both nodes. Traverse to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SYSTEM/CurrentControlSet\Services\<Service Name>

      - Match entries from Node 0A and create same entries on 0B.

Try the failover. Let me know how it goes.
