Populate 0CS_ITEM into 0GL_ACCOUNT Master Data table

Matez,

Info Provider : 0GL_ACCOUNT

Info Source : 0GL_ACCOUNT_ATTR

I have extended 0GL_ACCOUNT_ATTR to bring in BILKT field of R/3 into my Info Object: GROUP_ACCOUNT_NUMBER

Now, when I view the Contents of 0GL_ACCOUNT and select 0CHRT_ACCTS = 'CABM' instead of 'BMCS' , I can get the values of GROUP_ACCOUNT_NUMBER displayed next to 0GL_ACCOUNT.

So far, this works fine!

Now, I have to display the values of 0CS_ITEM into 0GL_ACCOUNT as well. The mapping for 0CS_ITEM is ONE-to-ONE with GROUP_ACCOUNT_NUMBER

0CS_ITEM, is written to BW via SEM-BCS, hence I cannot extend the Data Source of 0GL_ACCOUNT_ATTR.

So, I created an Update Rule from 0CS_ITEM into 0GL_ACCOUNT. This brings in value for 0CS_CHART and 0CS_ITEM.

Now, I cannot see the values of 0CS_ITEM displayed next to GROUP_ACCOUNT_NUMBER. It does NOT seem to appear in any combination of my selections in 0GL_ACCOUNT.

I got a suggestion from 1 of our senior SDN contributer here, that I need to create an ABAP Routine to display the 0CS_ITEM next to GROUP_ACCOUNT_NUMBER

Has anyone done this sort of ABAP Routine before ?

Please help me if you have any suggestions / solutions as I have been stuck with this problem for a very long time.

Thank You.

    hi John,

following steps in this 'how to' :

    https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/f0aca990-0201-0010-0380-f3aac4127a57

the code is just simple, you may put 0GL_ACCOUNT for 1st column and 0CS_ITEM for 2nd column.

    • First column

    if i_x = 1.

    • save document-item number

    move I_CHAVL_EXT to l_docitem.

    • add comment tag

    move '<!-- ' to C_CELL_CONTENT.

    endif.

    • Second column

    if i_x = 2.

    • close comment tag

    concatenate '--> ' C_CELL_CONTENT '/' l_docitem into C_CELL_CONTENT separated by space.

    endif.

    • add </TR><TR>

    tag if i_x = 4.

    concatenate C_CELL_CONTENT '</TR><TR>' into C_CELL_CONTENT.

    endif.

    Hi John Mate,

I am sorry to state this again.

I guess the only option of connecting 0GL_ACCOUNT and 0CS_ITEM using the chart of accounts.

Maybe somebody good with FI or your FI functional consultant can provide the link between 0GL_ACCOUNT and 0CS_ITEM.

    Bye

    Dinesh
