Sap Apo Characteristics and keyfigures

When creating Key Figures in the APO BW work bench, we are not getting a POPUP window that asks if the Key Figure should be BW or APO type. I have researched and cannot find a simple solution.

Hi,

The popup is received enabling you to choose if it has to be a BW KF or APO KF. Remember BW KF's are read efficient and APO KF's are write efficient. Ideally when you are creating them in APO system as per SAP's recommendation it has to be APO.

Yes, it does not ask for selection here too. Are you looking to do some specific functions like "fixing" keyfigures for which you want to ensure that the KF created is of type "APO"? If you have certain reason why you are looking for this option in selection, please share.

Better you'll get an answer if you post this question in BI/BW forum.

Basically it should ask for confirmation on APO/BI.. If you're KF creating as a BI one then you'll not be able to edit them later in APO which in APO KF you can.

You can copy a relevant APO KF/ BI KF which already exist in system according to your requirement.

Hi,

It doesnt ask for such type of option. Just create the key figure as per your requirement. And its modeling is same like as BW.

I guess you are using SCM 7.0

As far as my understanding, this does not appear in this version. By default it is a BW Key figure.
