What version of miniSAP WAS

Hi,

Could anyone please tell if there is a significant difference between versions 6.1 and 6.2 ? I would like to start install as soon as possible, waiting for the 6.2 from SAP is the lesser preferred option . I am not looking into 6.4 (avaialble at SDN )right now because of memory constraints on my machine.

I am looking at this from an ABAPper's view, I already have a mini 46D on the same machine. Please advise.

Thanks

I wouldn't bother with either 6.10 or 6.20. They are pretty close. Go with 6.40, that way you get it all.

Here is a weblog that will walk you thru the process.

Thanks Rich.

As I mentioned,I have constraints with the RAM ( at this point I cannot exceed 512 MB and the requirements suggest at least 1 GB ,with 2GB recommended ) .

Since you say there is not much difference between 6.1 and 6.2,I will go and get the book with the 6.1 CDs .

Thanks again

I've heard that 6.40 is runnable with 512mb, but may be brutally slow. I installed with 1gb and eventually upgraded to 2bg.

As far as ABAP goes, the difference between 6.10 and 6.20 is minumal in my opinion.

i had it running on 512 for sometime and it isnt bad . But when SAP is running you cannot run other office applications. otherwise , the speed is not that bad.

i was using it on 1.5 centrino, 512 RAM
