UI Theme Designer Doubts..

Dear All,

I am new to UI theme designing,i followed the explanation provided in below link for designing of UI theme,

After configuring i am not able to find the EDIT and PUBLISH option,

I am using SAP NetWeaver 7.4 &  Stack-7.

UI theme designer Version is 1.2.1

                              Engine Version 1.2.1

                             SAP UI5 Version 1.20.1

http://<host>:<port>/sap/bc/theming/theme-designer ---> try to access it is giving the error  404 Not Found.

So kindly help me in configurings,UI theme designer help materials for desktop version and WEB DYNPRO JAVA.

If you are on AS JAVA, the way to start UI Theme Designer is through the portal navigation. The URL you have used is for AS ABAP.

Thank you for the replay,

I am using the AS JAVA.i am accessing through the portal navigation only.

In that i am not able to find the EDIT and PUBLISH option.We are using SAP NetWeaver 7.4.

How to find the SAP_UI component for SAP NetWeaver 7.4 and i have a doubt for SAP_UI is a ABAP component or JAVA component .

Please help me.

SAP_UI is an AS ABAP component. On AS JAVA the UI Theme Designer is part of EP-BASIS if my memory serves me correctly. You must be doing something wrong. Take one of the standard themes (e.g. SAP Gold Reflection), select the Portal Framework (e.g. AJAX), make any change and Publish.

Thank you for the replay,

In that i am not able to find the EDIT  option . PUBLISH option is changed as save and build.

We are changing theme and checking preview not reflecting the changes.i was followed this link also but no use.

May be i am missing any configurations means tell me.

(I did only this Enable UI Theme Designer in the portal In Netweaver Administrator (/nwa) go to Configuration > Infrastructure > Application Modules;

Select the web module "com.sap.portal.themes.lafservice" in the Module List; Now in the Portal Service Details the Properties are loaded. Change "Determine what will be the theme runtime provider" to LESS. Save it and restart the portal.)

Please share the info if anyone have tried it on Portal and point to the URL's for more information. UI Theme Designer on Portal .(as java system)

Dear Durga Rao,

please first lets check some things.

1. Are you able to call the the theme designer in the Portal? Do you see the link "UI Theme Designer" below Content Administration -> Portal Display -> Portal Themes ?
2. Which Browser do you use? SAP recommends to use Chrome for the theme designer
3. Which theme do you try to customize? not every theme is suitable for every Frameworkpage
4. Is the Preview working fine? if you choose Tradeshow theme and the AJAX Portal Framework Page is everything loading fine? it should look like this:

     SAP NetWeaver 7.4 &  Stack-7.

     UI theme designer Version is 1.2.1

     Engine Version 1.2.1

     SAP UI5 Version 1.20.1

should work just fine as I have the same exact versions installed 🙂

If everything works fine you shall find the save & build option in the upper left hand corner
