Transportation problem...help me out plz..urgent

Hi gurus,

we have dev & production servers here both CRM & BW.

In our first phase already CRM & BW were in live.

Now in our second phase we did some changes in BW ODS & transfer structure which is already in use in production.

At the same time we add a field in Datasource in CRM side from extractstructure. and also to add the field in CRM datasource(other) i have to add it in one of CRM transparent table. i added it. so now can i transport all these things.....

Plz. help me out in this regard..., this is necessary and urgent plz...

hi,

yes you can transport these changes,

since you have these in production, when you did changes, system should prompt request, now you can transport these request

- first transport request in crm dev to prod, for the structure change, and datasource

- logon to your bw prod system, and do 'replicate datasource'. you need this before transport bw things from dev to prod, to update crm extract structure replicate in bw prod

- transport bw ods and transfer rule/structure from dev to prod.

Hi A.H.P,

thanks a lot for ur reply. but my problem is in another way that when i chanced the structure in CRM and datasource, it didn't ask any request. so how can i find now where it will stored, so that only i can transport that req. and also i am adding one record in standard table for getting effort to datasource which is dependent on that table. so record adding is not saved any req.

so how would i transport this one. so shall i add same thing in producion also in that standard table.

can i follow that way...

let me know plz... any how i awarded for ur fast reply ...

hi Swetha,

to check in which request, in datasource/structure display/edit mode, use menu 'extras' or 'go to' or check others (i have no access to system now), there is 'object directory entry', choose this then click 'lock overview', you should get the request.

another way is using se03 but you have to know the type of the object. check the same for the field added in standard table (you should using append structure right ?)
