Hi San Xu,

i have had a successful installation on the Linux Platform and i connect my windows to the path and i see this folder B1_SHF i presume is the shared folder.

So i picked the client 32 and install on windows but nothing shows.

Is there a way or something we need on the windows to enable us see the company database?

Hi Justice,

I'm confused. Where do you want to show the company databases, studio or B1 client? If B1 client, to communicate with the HANA server, you need to install HANA client for Windows. Depending on your B1 version (32 or 64), install the correct HANA client. And please check the troubleshooting Note Mr. Nagarajan sent you in the other thread. There might be another reason you can't see the list; to solve this, you need to modify the hosts file.

And yes, B1_SHF is the shared folder.

Hello San Xu,

i have installed the client successfully on the windows by your instruction.

How do i install client for my Linux platform just as i have done for windows.

Because in the B1_SHF folder i see client and client 64 but no client for Linux.

Any idea?

Hi Justice,

B1 client supports only the Windows platform.

Hi Justice,

Check if this helps: http://help.sap.com/saphelp_hanaplatform/helpdata/en/c9/21e48bbb5710148124c0eeddab166d/content.htm?f...

The Admin Guide of HANA is extremely useful. The one on the help portal is for SPS08 but is still quite relevant.

Hi Justice,

You must use <sid>adm for HANA services.

"su - s2padm" with a space after su and before the user.

Hi San Xu,

how do i login to SAP Hana studio as a <sid>adm?

The command prompt you gave me worked.

So how do i login to the Hana Studio with the username s2padm? or as a <sid>adm?

How can i check my SYSTEM username password?

Hi Justice,

is your studio installed on Windows or Linux? I have no experience with studio on Linux.

When installing B1 on HANA, you were required to input HANA DB user credentials, which one did you use? By default, SYSTEM's password is manager; my impression is that when installing .HANA DB, you should be required to specify its password.

Caution: if you used SYSTEM to install B1 on HANA, don't change its password.
