Hi Neelkamal,

Actually, you should see this buttom immediately after entering 'Change DS' screen.

Try to press F9.

And menu option you mentioned - is it 'ALE Delta' option?

Best regards,

Eugene

Not sure.

You said that saw this delta button in case of another datasources. Were these DSs generic too?

When you just enter RSO2 you can't see this button in all cases? Or just in edit mode for this particular case?

Your generic DS is built on what: view, table, FM?

Hi Neelkamal,

As others before me have mentioned the Generic Delta option is available from the transaction RSO2 in SAP R3.

The F9 function key will also pop up your window in which you can complete the required options. However, you will not be able to access this window unless you complete all the mandatory fields as part of the first screen. Consider the process as follows:

1) SAP R3 Transaction RSO2

2) Lets assume that your Generic Extractor is for Master data

3) Check the Master Data Attributes option and name your extractor, for this example ZGEN_EXT

4) Click on the Create button

5) If the DataSource exists you will get a message, change the name. If not you will taken into your main screen. For all the mandatory fields and otherwise the F1 Help is very good but if not clear just post a message

6) Select your Applic. Component

7) Enter details (free text fields) for the Texts fields which are Short description, Medium description, Long description

😎 You have already indicated that you want to extract from a view. Enter the name of your view in the View/Table field.

9) Now you can hit the F9 key and will be presented with the Generic Delta fields. Read the F1 help if not clear post a message

10) Have made the assumption that you will save etc

Thanks

Hi ,

In RSO2 transaction you can create Generic datasource for Master Data attribute, text and Transaction data. if you choose transaction data and create on the next screen you need to fill in the required field values like description etc then you need to select the table/view . once you have done that then you can find "Generic Delta" on the menu of this screen.

Hope it helps.
