Business function : CRM_ITSM_COM Attachment logo not visible

Hello everyone,

We have activated business function CRM_ITSM_COM that allows some more control on attachment block assignement.

In the sap help page, Visibility of Attachments - Service Request Management - SAP Library it says that "A button with a paperclip icon in the work area toolbar indicates that attachments are assigned to a service request. Choose the icon to navigate directly to the attachments assignment block".

We do not have the paperclip icon showing on the search page of a service request, eventhough we have attachment in the service request.

Has anyone ever tried this business function? Is there a customizing point to modify ?

Hello Anais,

You need to add the authorization domain and scope in the below SPRO path

SPRO>CRM>Transaction>Basic Setting>Define authorization scope. In the authorization domain you should add "ATTACHMENT and authorization handler class  should be - CL_CRM_AUTH_SCOPE_STATIC_CHK.

Then you can maintain the authorization scope values : 100: Internal, 200: External, 300: Confidential. This will be as per your business requirement.

Additionally you have to maintain authorization object for Activity, Authorization Domain and Authorization Scope.  Which is explained in the link which you have provided.

Unfortunately, after doing those steps, I still don't see the logo attachment .

Can you tell me exactly where it is supposed to be seen? I was expecting to see it in the search / result list view. Is it the good expectation?

Hello Anais,

It is to be seen near the work area tool bar in the transaction page and not in the search/ result list page.

In that case, can you tell me what is the point on having this functionnality? It is supposed to be a shortcut on the work area tool bar Vs going to the Attachments block to see the attachment?

Hello Anais,

The icon signifies there is attachment in the transaction. And when you choose the icon it directly goes to the Attachment assignment block. Thus, reducing with the pain of going till the end of the document. And you can say that it is a short cut on the work area tool bar.

OK, thank you very much ! It helped me to understand the functionnality

However, as we have the tile layout view, with different tab and not different blocks on our service request, the use of the functionnality is limited for our client.

I am not sure about that but it seems that it only apply to Service Request.
