Forex Revaluation Cost Center shows "!"

Hi all,

We ran forex revaluation and the job got sent to SM35.

In SM35 when we run in foreground mode, we can see that cost center field is set to "!" value.

Is this the standard value SAP will input if SAP is not able to derive the cost center based on OKB9 or substitution?

I am wondering where the exclamation mark comes from.

Hi,

It is not a standard SAP behaviour. If system could not derive the cost centre it will throw error message. Please check the account assignments for the account in OKB9.

It does show the usual error messages. I just ran in foreground to check what is populated.

It seems you are uploading the data through BDC. Please check the cost centre in the data and correct it.

Please check

1. The Upload file whether any special character is maintained in that.

2. Check BDC recording whether by mistake any field is made default for the field COBL-KOSTL.

It is not BDC. The job is triggered from FAGL_FC_VAL.

Check the exchange rate GLs, which has maintained in OB09, in OKB9 settings.
