Load data from transactional ODS to standard ODS

Hi

How do I load data from a transactional ODS to a standard ODS. Do I have to use the BAPI BAPI_ODSO_READ_DATA? How does it work?

Hi Erik,

Jus create a Export datasource and assign the datasource to your standard ODS via update rules.

Thank you for responding to my question. I now managed to create the datasource. I found out that also a inforsource was automaticly created. I have linked the inforsource to the ODS with a updatrule. My problem is that I can not find the infosource in RSA1 under infosources but only under sourcesystems.... Where do I then create the infopackage to load the data?

Hi Erik,

You need to do the following setting to see you ODS Object Export data source under DATA MART. Go to RSA1 on the menu Setting --> Display Generated Object , on the Popup screen please choose show generated objects. Then you can find you ODS object infosource under DATA MART Application component.

Hi,

It also like normal ODS, and follow the normal method. The BAPI function u mentioned is for external applications.

Hi Erik,

You can create an "export data source" on a transactional ODS. Use that load to load the standard ODS.
