ase isql login error (CT-LIBRARY error)

Dear Ase Gurus,

When i try to login to "isql -Usa -SSBD , after Password.

Error : CT-LIBRARY error: ct_connect(): directory service layer: internal directory control layer. error: Requested server name not found.

After this , i tried to unlock SA user, "isql -Usasso -SSBD after Password :  error is same !

Error :  CT-LIBRARY error: ct_connect(): directory service layer: internal directory control layer. error: Requested server name not found.


Remote Desktop : 192.168.xxxx - User : Sybsbd

What could be the problem ?

Bumped on this post while facing same problem at the time of Sybase installation/Migration.

If people are looking for fix on Linux for this.

It is to remove ocs.cfg file.

Location of ocs.cfg file usually is

/sybase/<SID>/OCS-15_0/config #

Hello Abhijeet,

This thread is from two years ago and a Correct Answer has already been marked.

The file you mention does not exist under an ASE for Business Suite, or if exists, it is empty, unless it was created/modified for some specific reason, i.e, third-party compatibility such as database backup utilities.

So your situation looks different than the one that was reported in this thread.

facing same error for all of these ;

isql -Usapsa -P<password> -S<DBSID>
