diff. data selection infopack-delta abt them...

Hi gurus & frnds,

Very Good Morning to every one,

i have doubt on data extraction by using multiple selection infopackages.

Just assume that i have the data like material 50,000 records. now i want to extract

the data by using multiple selection conditions in different infopackages.

Now i divided data into 5 parts.., for each part i am using one infopackage to extract it.

Assume that my infopackages like pack1,pack2,pack3,pack4,pack5.

check the selection conditions below:

Infopackage Selection condition

pack1 0000 - 10000

pack2 10001-20000

pack3 20001-30000

pack4 30001-40000

pack5 40001-50000

For 5 infopackages i schedule the job for first one, after 10 min. i schedult it second one .....etc

now my doubt is if how the delta enabled? is delta enabled based on selection condition of the

infopackage or based on datasource.

Think that my first infopackage job completed before scheduling the 4th one.

so that delta initialization done here. so what about remaining which is already running.?

how can delta initialization takes place here.. How can we run delta for this scenario.?

i think people are understood my question.. let me clarify plz.

Hello swetha,

First of all material is a master data. Master data is normally a full load.

For transaction data, if u have 5 packages as u have said, the delta package when created will have selections updated automatically depending on the completed inits.

For eg. If 2 inits have been done upto 20000, and u try to create a delta infopackage, the delta selection conditions will be till 20000.

If u again schedule the third init till 30000, on its completion, the delta infopackage will update its selections upto 30000.

You can also go and check the init flags updated based on which the delta works.

thankx for ur reply. ok. as u said if i do final initialize delta load based on selection 40000 - 50000,

so delta will be enabled for this selection criteria only. from the next time onwards i want to run delta for the entire data records, not particular selection criteria. so how would we achieve this plz..

Hi,

What you can do is run the first 4 Infopackages with the full upload with the selection conditions you want to and run the 5th info package with Init Delta. that will

do.

Hi,

Other wise,

Do full uploading with those selections. And after do delta initialization with out data transfer. Then onwards,you can use delta loading.
