Hi all,

I want to give a portal Web dynpro content administrator access. I have given him super_admin_role, Administrator role and JDI_administrator role. Also I have added this user to the Administrators and JDI Administrators group.

even then when I login with that user id, it says "No permission".

Any idea how to do this?

Regards,

Narahari

Dear Narahari,

Whats ur UME .. Is it ABAP or database..

If its ABAP.. U have to assign the j2ee_admin sld roles..

u will sld_configurator, sld_admin etc.,

Hi,

help.sap.com link says

"The Web Dynpro Content Administrator is also available directly in the portal. By default, it is assigned to the Content Administrator role."

http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04s/helpdata/en/ee/4fd1922ad243489a5a715d6b1dc676/content.htm

The permissions for the 'Content Administrator' are inherited from the 'Portal Content' object, which i got from the webdynpro workset object.

I created a new user and have given 'full control' on the 'Portal Content' permissions and also , but still am facing the same permissions error.

still unable to get the permissions through.

Hi,

1.Is the webdynpro workset available in portal for this user.

2. Is the content admin role assigned for this user..?

3. If yes,

when you access teh webdynpro page from the portal in this users log in.. whats the error you are getting ?

The actual question from the owner of this question was he could not access the web dynpro content admin from the browser directly..outside the portal.. hope you dont get mislead by the same..

Hi Narahari

Is portal webdynpro content a folder? If so,right click that folder and open=>permissions. Search for that user and click add in Assign new permission. That user gets added in Assigned permission below. Now choose full control or owner in the administrator dropdown. Click Save. Logout and check if that user gets permission.

Reward points if useful.

Hi Vijay,

No. This is not a folder. It is the screen (or work bench)which is normally used to see all the applications deployed and also create and maintain JCO destinations etc.
