Enable to Login CMS, CMS is not started

Hello Experts,

We were on SAP BO 4.1 SP2 After upgrading on SP4. I am not able to Login through CMC "Account information not recognized: Could not reach CMS 'JKBODEV:6400'. Specify the correct host and port and check for network issues. (FWM 20030)". while checking into the event Viewer I found the error "Server Intelligence Agent has failed to initialize. The port number is likely in use. Please confirm that your Server Intelligence Agent port number is not in use by another program. com/rsa/jsafe/CryptoJ". SIA Server is showing started but error shows it is not working.

For this copied  jce.jar from another working BI platform 4.1 SP4 according to SAP NOTE 2033715 but still it's not working.

Let me know if you have solution to resolve this issue.

Vinay Shrimali

Hi Vinay,

Do you see the CMS.exe in task manager on BO server?

If not please , replace cryptojFIPS.jar from an working environment(same patch level).

Location : <install directory>SAP BusinessObjects\SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise XI 4.0\java\lib

Hope this helps.

Hi Ritesh,

Thanks a lot for the solution.

I have locate the cryptojFIPS.jar file in my SAP BO 4.1 SP6 environment. Now I do not have any same working environment. Is it possible to provide the same file?

It will be great if you provide that file.

Hi: Something alike is happening to me.

I updated an environment from Xi 4.1 SP06 FP02 up to SP 07 then I wasn't able to login.

Following the thread above I was looking to replace cryptojFIPS.jar from an working environment into the recently updated SP07; however that file didn't exist in the new SP07. I wonder why it wasn't there.

Anyway, after copying that file over and rebooting the machine, the login is still not working. After that I checked the ports and nothing else is holding/using those ports (6400 and 6410) rather than BO.

It seems I will rebuild the CMS database or restore the latest backup.

Hi Vinay,

is SIA.exe up and running in task manager, post replacing of jar files?

if not, try to restart the SIA, once or twice, do you see, it goes to starting and then stopped state?

does it fail with same error?

Please check with your network administrator whether port 6400 and 6410 are used by any another programs \ applications. If the ports are used by another program and cannot be used for your application at this point of time then change the ports to available one's.

To change the PORT, perform the following steps.

1. Launch CCM and stop the SIA Services. Open the SIA server properties.

2. Click on Startup and Click on Central Management Server.

3. Change the port no here.

4. Click on Configuration tab change the port number of SIA here.

5. Browse the Business objects Directory (<>:\Program Files\Business Objects\Tomcat55\webapps\CmcApp\WEB-INF).

6. Open the Web.xml file in notepad and change the port number to 6400(<param-value>Athens:6400</param-value>

7. Do the same steps for InfoViewApp.

8. Restart the SIA and Tomcat Services from CCM.

Hopefully, you will not be performing the above steps if the ports are avilable for you to use.
