Inventory Cube Again

Hi Guys,

Iam using the inventory cube. Stock Values are coming perfect if italk about stock quantities. Now the issue is that stock values of valuated stock are available at plant and material level. But when i add drill down for storage location by introducing storage location characteristic. it is not giving break up of valuated stock quantity at storage location level but total stock at plant level is matching perfectly.

Guys any thoughts please.

Regards

Baljit

    Hi,

It can not be so . if you r getting at the plant and material level you will get the storage location as well .

Probably you r seeing the Value of the Valuated Stock.

Value is maintained at the plant level not at the storage location level.

By the way check with mb5b Transac on the R3 side.

    Hope this helps.

    Rgds,

    Ravindra.

    Hi,

You can get values on storage location level. But not from standard reports. SAP suggests a solution (search for "stock value storage location" or similar at service.sap.com), where you calculate a stock value of each storage location by first computing an average value (total value of material at plant / total quantity of materrial at plant) and multiply this with total quantity of material at storage location.

It can also be done in update rules but it is quite complex (e.g need to enhance extractor in R/3 to implement movement of value for each material movement, moreover handling of price changes / revaluations become more complex since just as said previously in this thread - stock values are not maintained in R/3 on storage location level so we need to approximate by looking at quantities and average values...).
