Hi experts,
Is it possible to do a Capacity check for an Interim Storage Type? We are working on a scenario where this has to be done.
The scenario is that during the process of Goods Issue, as soon as the 1st Goods Issue Area is full, the next Transfer Order should direct the Goods Issue to the 2nd Goods Issue area. How can this scenario be handled with standard configurations?
Appreciate your response.
By standard configuration, you can do just as you would for a standard ST.
As Jurgen stated you have some limitations. Read about it and try setting up you interim ST with one of the allowed capacity checks.
I don't know the logic behind your goods issue areas (bins?), I figure you want to check if those are full and use the next available GI area (bin)?
Can you please explain a bit further what is the exact requirement...?

At least I can answer your first question. Yes it is possible to have a capacity check on a interim storage type, however the types of checks are limited.
