How to turn on Security Services

Hi

I turned-off the <b>Security Services</b> in J2EE Engine(6.40) using Visual Admin.

Now the Visual Admin itself is not working.

I cannot login in to Visual Admin, it is saying that the service does not exist.

How can i turn on Security Services ?

Can anyone help?

Hi,

in fact, if you have stopped the Security Provider service, the whole J2EE Engine must have been brought down as this service is a <b>core</b> one. What you can do in this case is simply try to restart your Web AS instance (from the MMC). The security service has a startup mode "always" and will be started by default upon Web AS startup (provided that you didn't explicitly change its startup mode!)

In addition, next time you want to stop a service, refer to SAP Note 781882 to check service's dependencies and if it eventually is a core service that could bring the whole system offline.
