Leave Request Java WD text in Note for Approver field

Hello All,

We've upgraded recently from 7.01 to 7.40 and the text for Note for Approver is all capitalized. The textedit is bound to Prepare_Request.Prepare_Output.Prepare_Ex_Request.Curr_Note whose simplyetyple if Tim_Req_Notice. In the representation characterstics of this simplyetype Uppercase is selected.

So I understand when the text is all capitalized in that textedit.

But what I dont understand is this conversion to all caps does not happen in 7.01. For example text 'Sample Text' when set to this context attribute was displayed as 'Sample Text' in 7.01 but displayed as 'SAMPLE TEXT' in 7.40.

Is there a way to suppress this automocatic capitalisation?

Any inputs are much appreciated.

Hi SAP gurus,

we are on the same boat of this issue, checked above OSS note today, but hasn't released yet ,

this issue is occurring in PORTAL side only, working fine in GUI.

I  would really appreciate for any suggestions or workaround fix for this ( I have attached testing screen shot as well ).

There is a similar issue also, where changing the field property fixed the issue package PAOC_TIM_REQUEST domain TIM_REQ_NOTICE In order to fix the issue follow  the  manual steps mentioned below:, 1. In the back end system, go to transaction SE11, 2. Go to change mode of Domain: 3. In the 'Definition' tab, check/select the check box: 'Lower Case'. 4. Save and activate the changes. and restart the server to see the changes PAOC_TIM_REQUEST  TIM_REQ_NOTICE 1904950 - WDJava ESS: LeaveRequest Explanatory Texts is in upper case

Thanks Siddharth, but I dont find domain TIM_REQ_NOTICE, but there's a data element with the same name. and this data element is based on STRING.

I see that the note is not released yet, is a new domain created with the name TIM_REQ_NOTICE as part of that note, and attached to the data element TIM_REQ_NOTICE?

Am i missing something?
