Hi Gopi,

For IDT you can try the below steps:

1.Open an existing business layer in IDT
2.Create a List Of Values Based On a Business
Layer Objects.
3.Select the option List Of Values Based On a
Custom Hierarchy.
4.From the LOV pane, Add the required Dimension
objects to the hierarchical LOV.
5.Assign the created LOV to the object
definition in the Business Layer >Advanced tab.

For more details, please see following wiki:
http://wiki.scn.sap.com/wiki/display/BOBJ/How+to+create+a+cascading+List+of+Values+%28LOV%29+in+UNX+...

Or you can refer the KBA article 1666504 - BI 4.x How to create a hierarchical
cascading list of values in UNX universe from Information Design Tool

If you need information about how to create nested lov in Information Design Tool
please see the following wiki:
http://wiki.scn.sap.com/wiki/display/BOBJ/How+to+create+a+Nested+LOV+in+UNX

In any case if you are trying in Universe Design tool please try the below steps:

To create the cascading LOV in the Universe Designer

1.Import a universe to the Universe Designer.
2.Click Tools > Lists of Values > Create
cascading Lists of Values.
3.Click the objects to be used from the right,
from the highest level to the lowest (for example, Country > Region >
City).
4.Click Generate LOV.
5.Save the universe.
6.Export the universe to the Central Management
Server.

To use the cascading LOV in Web Intelligence

1.Open Web Intelligence.
2.Create a document based on this same universe.
3.Place one of the LOV objects in to the query
filter panel.
4.Click prompt as the operand type from the
drop-down list.
5.When the report is accessed, users are able to
select from a cascading LOV depending on the object used in the query. For
example, if the Country object is chosen, the user will be able to select from
available countries. If the City object is chosen, users can drill down from
Country to Region to Cities.

For more details please refer SAP KBA: 1220281 - How to create a cascading list of
values in Web Intelligence.

Please let me know if you need any other help on this.
