MM- SuS Clarity

Hi,

We are using MM- SuS Scenario with ECC Ehp 7 and SRM 7

Refering to some of the document from Sap Help and service market place , I have some question and require help to have a clarification on the same.

1. In one place it is written to create a Distribution channel in ECC for SuS System with message type "Z_CREMAS_SUSMM", where as in service market place , it is not mentioned. I am not sure if we need to create the same or not.

2. will there be a RFC connection between ECC and SuS System.

3. What are the mode of communication between ECC and SuS for master Data (Vendor Master) and Transactional Data (PO/ASN/IV etc).

4. When IDOC is required and when PI is required.

Request to please help here to understand the same.

Hi

1. please refer to the configuration guides to setup Z_CREMAS_SUSMM idoc @ http://service.sap.com/instguides

2. RFC connection from SUS to ECC is required for example if you use R/3 tax calculation. As to my knowledge there is no need for an RFC connection from ECC to SUS.

3. Vendor master data is always transferred via IDOC from ECC to PI. PI will map the IDOC to XML and send it to SUS. For transactional data depending on your release and scenario you may have the same communication with IDOC to XML, or with the MM-SUS-SRV scenario it is possible to send XML directly from ECC to PI, which will be routed to SUS then.

4. Previous question answers this, PI  is always required, the IDOC is always sent to the PI system for mapping and routing to SUS.
