Executing Payroll Simulation will not create any entries in the Payroll Results Cluster.

If you execute Payroll Calculation for Payroll Period 02/2014 and it calculates retroactively to Period 01/2014, then :

Payroll Results for Period 01/2014 in 01/2014 will be modified form A to P

Payroll Results for Period 01/2014 in 02/2014 will be identified as A

Payroll Results for Period 02/2014 in 02/2014 will be identified as A

Then, if you execute Payroll Calc. for .Period 03/2014 and it calculates retroactively to Period 01/2014, then :

Payroll Results for Period 01/2014 in 01/2014 will be modified form P to O

Payroll Results for Period 01/2014 in 02/2014 will be modified form A to P

Payroll Results for Period 02/2014 in 02/2014 will be modified form A to P

Payroll Results for Period 01/2014 in 03/2014 will be identified as A

Payroll Results for Period 02/2014 in 03/2014 will be identified as A

Payroll Results for Period 03/2014 in 03/2014 will be identified as A

What is the problem Kumar?

I'm not sure I undrrstand you problem completely. Are you saying that:

- you perform payroll for the current period (let's say current is '07' for the sake of illustration) and that's the period your payroll control record in transaction PA03 points to

- this payroll run includes retros for some (or all) people to a previous period, let's say 05 and 06

- now you think the marking of those results as "A" us wrong?

What you should see now us:

- 3 results with IN-period 07 and FOR-periods 05, 06, 07 respectively, which all must be indicated as "A", because they are the latest results FOR those periods

- a result with IN-period 06 and FOR period 06 marked as "P" (this would have been "A" before the current payroll

- if you had retro IN 06 FOR 05 akready then this result will now be marked as "P" and the result IN 05 FOR 05 (previously marked "P" would now be "O"

- if not, then the result IN 05 FOR 05 (previously marked "A" would now be "P"

If this is what you see, all is correct.

If not, double check you really did pick the right period, when running the latest payroll. Errors can occur, when the controll record is wrong or you manually pick a different period, which shouldn't be possible in life runs, but could, if the check is switched off in your schema.

If this doesn't explain your situation, please share for an example the exact data of which periods (in/for..) are in your cluster. A screenshot of the period overview from report RPCLSTx0 would be perfect (use the version for your country, e.g. RPCLSTG0 for Great Britain.

Kind regards

Sven.
