SPRO empty - cant activate Gateway 2.0 on Netweaver 7.4 - is the system ok?

Hi,

I feel confused.

As you can see the System is relatively up-to-date and all components seem to be in the System.

But in SPRO - nothing

Yes, I am new to Netweaver 7.4 and the NWG2.0. But I have been looking around yesterday and cant find anything that helps me to understand.

Is there something missing in the System?

Are there Add-ons that definitely shouldnt be on one System?

Hi Sven,

Gateway comes out-of-the-box as of 7.4 so it is certainly odd that it is not showing in SPRO. There should be nothing additional to install, as GWFND covers the foundation and the basic config options such as activating Gateway.

I think you have no option but to refer the matter to the Basis admins of the system in question as this is indicative of an incomplete installation.

Well, since I am the Basis - I probably have installed (it is our, "the" developer System in-house and it wouldnt be nice to have botched it up) one Add-on to much. I read Note "157468 - Known Constraints for SAP Netweaver Gateway" before, but somehow - I guess one can mix up the Installation.

I have a clone from before the upgrade (which included SPs and Add-Ons as well) and SPRO there is empty as well.

My IDES Server (based on Netweaver 7.4) is complete.

And I remember seeing an installation option for NWGW in SWPM, but havent checked on it yet.
