Hi,
My client wants to send payment followup emails to all customers in a single click.
Further he wants to customize the mail body, so that he can send mails with different wordings depending on whether this is the first or 2nd or 3rd followup mail.
I want to know what can be done in standard SAP B1 without using any addons.
I have a vague idea this may be possible using Queries & Report Scheduler or probably Activity, but I am looking for a step by step guide.
Any detailed documents will be helpful.
Ideally, he will want the report to be sent directly as HTML in the body of the mail, so that the recipient does not have to download it. If that is not possible, then it can be sent as an attachment.
Thanks.

Hi Nagarajan,
Nice to see your reply as the first reply once again!
I have gone through that document. I need some additional information to make full use of that document.
1. How to assign a report layout?
2. How to mark all Customer Business Partners as recipients?
3. How to specify different mail body contents depending on whether this is 1st followup or 2nd followup or 3rd followup? For this, I can probably create 3 report schedulers, each with a different report layout, and only one of the 3 reports will execute for a BP depending on the no. of aging days.
Thanks.
Hi,
Do you need dunning letters or scheduling and emailing?

Attached above document to assist for this question.

Hi Nagarajan,
I am coming back to the Report Scheduler approach as I believe the Dunning Wizard is limited to printing soft copy or hard copy of letters, which then have to be emailed manually or via an addon.
I repeat my questions:

Hi,
I think I can customize the report layout using Crystal Reports. I got hold of this document which is quite useful:
http://www.pioneerb1.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/04/How-to-work-with-Crystal-Reports-8.8.pdf
How can I select all Business Partners in the Recipient List? Do I have to do this one by one?
Can I base it on the results of a query which will decide to which BPs the mails should be sent?
So I think Point 1 and Point 3 are clear to me to quite an extent. Please give some suggestions on Point 2.
Thanks.

Hi Kennedy,
I had indeed not gone through Dunning Letters. Seems to be close to my requirements.
That link has given me an overview of Dunning Letters. However, it makes no mention of how to customize the content of the Reminder Letter and how to have a different content in the reminder letter depending on the no. of times the followup has happened.
Can you give me some ideas on that?
Hi Rajesh..
Check with the video..

Hi Kennedy,
I have gone through the video as well as the link "Automatic Dunning by Email".
From what I have understood, Dunning Letters can only be printed, and for emailing them, we need to buy or build an addon.
Please correct me if I am wrong. If dunning letters can only be printed, they may not meet my current requirement of mass mailing to customers. Please reply.
