Hi Friends,
We are using SAP ECC EHP3 with Mssql 2005 enterprise edition with windows 2008r2 OS.
Still now we are taking backup to backup drive and after that we are copying in to tape drive. But now a days we are facing problem with backup drive space issue, for that we are planing to take backup in to tape drive directly.
I want to know below points.
1)Is it possible to take backup in to tape drive directly?
2)If it is possible how to set up the tape for backup ?
3)We can reuse that backup for restore or not?
4)How to configure tape drive as a backup drive in mssql 2005 (SQL Management studio) and Mssql 2008r2.
Please clarify my doubts , if possible provide me some documents.
Thanks in Advance.
