Hi experts,

I want to delete Characteristics form Class , when I enter the details such as  Class, Class Type, Change Number the deletion icon on the screen is Greyed out i.e. Disabled

When I try to delete the Characteristics through program RMCLMDEL by executing it using Tcode se38 after entering the relevant data for the characteristics to be deleted Like

Class, Class Type, Characteristics, Change Number and Valid From and when the program is executed .

Message “ Change number ignored for class type 300 ” is displayed on the screen after selecting the help icon the information is displayed as attached file

Please suggest as to what are the settings that needs to be done for the Characteristics to be deleted from the class

Hello Rohan,

As Ritesh advised, please check if the class is valid.

As mentioned in the long text of the message CL141 you receive when trying to delete the , ECH time has to be activated for the class type before deletion is possible .

Could you please check the following customizing in your system ?

O1CL ->
      Object Table -> MARA
         Class Type -> 300
                       Details
                          ECH(times)
               Objects -> ECH(times)

IF ECH ( times ) is un checked then this leads to the popup you receive . In order to resolve the issue these flags need to be set.

Rohan Kondkar,

Please check change number you are using is it relevant for changing classes or not also check its validity.

Probably you can create new change number and use it for deletion of characteristic.
