MRP Exception Message - Difference between 30 & 10

Former Member

Hi team,

I have executed MRP in my R/3 system & below exception message "30 - Plan process according to schedule".

I was expecting that, the system will raise the exception message "10- Bring process forward". But system raised exception 30. Why did not the exception 10 is not raised. In what situation, the exception 10 will be raised?

Thanks

As replied in your other thread, 10, 20 and 15 arefor firmed receipts and 30 is for the planned receipts (all belong to exception group 07 in standard).

Manually firm the planned order, you will get 10/15 based on the rescheduling in/out.

Best Regards.

Hi Rajen,

OK. Thank u for the info. Hence the exception 30 is only for planned receipts which is not firmed. In my above screen shot, if i have maintained the MRP type as PD & planning time fence as BLANK in material master, the EM 30 would not have been raised & automatically the planned order end date as 2014.09.01. Since i have maintained the planning time fence in material master, the EM 30 is raised for planned orders (which is not firmed). Is this right?

Thanks

Yes.

If your initial query is solved you can close the thread by marking the correct answer. The second question was not necessary anyways if you had tried it in your system.

It is better to test when you know what you have to do to perform the test.

Best Regards.
