Variant configuration

Hi SAP Guru's,

We have variant configured at the client place. My requirement is related to copying from Sales order ZOR to Sales order ZTA document.

When I copy from ZOR to ZTA , variant configuration characteristics and values get copied to ZTA. These characteristics are in Display mode, ie I cannot edit / Change these values.

Here business wants these Characteristics to be editable in ZTA Sales order document.

How do I achieve this requirement?

So have you find what are the Differences you found between ZOR→ZTA  Vs F2→RK in copy controls??

what was the Configuration field suggesting at Item level in VTAA.

Are you able to change the quantity while copying..

I am able to change quantity and pricing in RK. but not the characteristics.

check your requirement type based on that requirement class level configuration requirement field activate or not check this   , and item category here configuration setting activated ,

pl check once this

Hi Bojja,

When I copy from OR to OR document, I am able to edit Characteristics. But when I copy from OR - RK, I am not able to edit the characteristics, its display only.

How to I make it editable?

Quick correction its F2- RK not OR-RK

There is nothing needs to be change related to Variant configuration , please compare the difference between your order types , specially requirement class & type configuration associated with ZOR & ZOT, which is causing this issue.
