Failed to connect SLD Issue

Hi Experts,

An error message 'Failed to connect System Landscape Directory' appears in the message bar when I try to login to SAP B1 Cloud on RDS.

I have entered the IP address of license server or server name of license server but my login still failed.

The version of cloud I used is the latest version. The SBO version I use is SBO 9.0 PL12.

Please provide me a solution for this issue. I appreciate your help so much.

Thank you

Rgds,

Steve

Hi,

  1. Restart the SLD service from the task manager.
  2. Open the SAP business One Service Manager and restart the license manager.
  3. Run Business One as administrator.

The two first steps usually fixes this.

Hi Everyone,

Thanks to Andreas....I check his solution and it works. I had this issue upgrading SAP from 8.8.2 to 9.0 version in a test environment working on 32 bit.

If you check SLD Service, process tomcat7.exe *32 is related on (Executing Windows Task Manager - Service Tab and right click on SLD service, select Go to process)....

I was stopping this process because I was looking for reducing memory use.

For instance, reinstall SAPB1 server tools or client is not needed.

I propose Andreas' response as helpful and correct one.

Hi,

1. Please refer SAP note:

1907535 - Password characters ignored in SAP Business One Cloud Setup

2. Make sure no firewall, antivirus blocking

3. Try to run it as administrator rights( Right click B1 and run it as administrator)

Thanks & Regards,
