Upload of Planned Independent Requirements

Experts,

I would like to upload a demand forecast for 500+ materials and I'm looking for an efficient way to do so.

I know that I can use a BAPI, however, what other methods are there?

Can someone please guide me?  My file is in excel format, with materials and its forecasted data over months ahead.

Is there a simpler way to use use the standard upload program RM60IN01 or someone knows of a solid method that WORKS ?
