In material master records some view are missing

Hi All,

In my IDES system while am creating material master all the view are not appearing. Around 3 months beore it was showing all the views.

But recently the below screen shot is showing. Don't know what could be went wrong.

Searched the forum but with the given solutions it did not resolve my problem.

Please advise how to resolve this issue?

What you currently have is something that I  last saw  around 2001.

You are having the old industry screens, just one basic data view, just 2 MRP views instead of 4.

Your OMS2 and MM01 look according to the customizing of screen sequence 01 from OMT3B transaction.

The todays material master screens are from screen sequence 21

This screen sequence from OMT3B is assigned in to material types, industry etc in transaction OMT3E.

So I think someone has changed a setting there. Check it  in OMT3E from menu Utilities > Change log

after maintaining 21 it is displaying.

I spent more time on this to find out the exact issue, also consulted my MM colleges, all of them told, goto OMS2 and do required settings.

You really helped me by giving genius answer.

Hi,

please check the setting in SPRO -LOGISTIC GENERAL-MATERIAL MASTER-BASIC SETTING-MATERIAL TYPE -DEFINE ATTRIBUTE OF MATERIAL TYPE

from here you can set material view for material type it

thanks for your reply. I already checked in OMS2 before posting here as advised in old treads, but i could not succeed and i don't see the relavant view to add.

Since i am SD consultant may be i could not follow the steps properly of the old treads.

Kindly advise further how to resolve my issue?

Hi Surya ,

if you say it was working before 3 months then find out whats chnaged in material master customisations.

if you selected proper user departments in OMS2 it have to show the views.

if not yet gettign displayed then just check your authorisation by running SU53, it must be a authorisation issue.

Could you please explain the above, what i need to check exactly?

Since it is a IDES system, i don't think so there could be authorization issue. however, checked.

The last authorization check was successful.

You need to know which view is missing now and then verify whether that view is included in the configuration for that material type in OMS2 or not?

For example in your screenshot I can see Costing, Storage, Forecasting & Quality Management views are not included in the configuration hence they won't appear.

Its a easy question.

The selection view is depend on your material type settings in OMS2.
