Requirement type from User parameters ?

Hi Gurus,

today while doing a scenario in test system about strategy 50. after runnig MRP I found the Convrtable Planned orders are created in place of Un converatble Planned Orders.

i found the Error That System Showing req Tpe As vsf instead vse.. which is maintained in User parameters  of MD61.

1. my Doubt is how Can system Accept a requirement which is not Available in its material master ?

Hello Venkat,

Its user parameter and must be validated by user, not by system. System does not accept wrong req type even in user parameter so generating warning for that.Do not put any default and system will select the correct one.

For any materials if you have initially created VSF requirement then changed the requirement type to VSE by changing statergy group in MM or by any other means system still considers VSF only this is standard behavior of system so delete the existing requirements in MD62 or Change the user parameter to VSE.

Also check in OMDD transaction planned order profile VP exists for object 1.

Hi Kiran,

thank you for the Reply . i have changed the req from VSE From VSF Now thw MRP REsults Are As for the Expectation. But My Doubt is How can system Allow  VSF For the material Which does not have any link with the Req Type.

i checked in MRP group it also not have The Req Tye VSF....

system given VSF to the Material Just Because it was Maintained In User parameters Of MD61.

so how can sytem give importence to user parameters instead of Main Strategy of the material.

Venkat,

User parameters in MD61 takes priority in deciding the requirement type than material master settings.

So delete the requirement type in User parameter so that it takes from material master strategy group or MRP group.

Hello Venkat,

System take data from User parameter maintained in MD61, You should Blank User parameter in MD61, if we maintained the values blank it always take data from config like req type & class.

You just maintained User parameter default blank and save.

In MD61 User paramter have priority over Configuration setting.

Using the SHDO to restrict user to change theses values.

Check and confirm
