Reading master data in SAP BI7.3

HI Experts,

As per requirement i made the one infoobject as Read from master data in transformation level but when i check the infocube that particular object data is not available so if any one worked on this issue before let me know.

Hi Rama,

The infoobject being populated through "Read master data" should be read from an attribute of some master data infoobject based on which the values will be populated.

Please check if the assignments are correct and whether that master data infoobject holds the data for required key fields.

Can you please share the screenshot of the transformation for infoobject, where you have applied read from master data? May be your definition is not correct. Please check below doc for reference and reply back with screenshot :

Thank you very much for your replies if i keep like read the master data in transformation level ,is there any effect like loading or query performance so iam looking for your suugestions.

Hi,

it may effect only load not reporting.But rather than abap coding read form master data option was more effective.

because your report will pull data from reports not from master data objects.

if you select post values from master data at bex level that will impact on reporting.
