OVS: Issue with binding Searchfield to multiple query parameters

Hi Experts,

after some research I developed an OVS for a Custom-BO, which works generally fine. But I did not yet manage to implement, that the searchfield in the "Basic Search" can search over multiple collumns. In some standard OVSs I can see, that the input of the searchfield is used to query on mutiple fields like ID, Name and Description.

In the Findformpane I can define the SearchTextBinding to only one Searchparameter. I also tried to only map it to one Searchparameter and then bind the searchparameter to multiple Attributes of my Custom-BO, but this also does not work.

Do you have advice how to realise this multi-attribute search?

Thanks and best regards

Tom

    Hi Tom,

I tried this with custom BO OVS (I have three elements ID , Name and Country). In data model searchparameters structure I created three data fields. In Control -> Query -> Select the BO -> Query By elements and push down the three elements. Bind them to corresponding fields from searchparameters structure.

Now in UI drag and drop fields from data model-> search parameters. This way you will be able to use all the fields for searching.

If you create a SADL query instead of normal query selecting search parameters and result fields is even easier.

    Hope this helps.

    Regards

    Ganesh
