Question about the MD04 (VBBE table)

Dear everyone

I have a sales order type whose requirement class is set to 031 (Order requirements).

※The reason for using this requirement class is that we don't want the sales orders of this type to consume our VSF (independent requirement).

But what happened was that when we create "delivery note" for this type of sales orders, the requirement record is removed

from VBBE table, which is causing problems on our side.

I'm not entirely sure if this is caused by the requirement class, but it is is, would you tell me what requirement class I can use

for our purpose?

1. VSF is not consumed by the sales order.

2. the requirement record stays in VBBE table until the "post goods issue" gets completed.

If this incident is not caused by the requirement class setting, would you let me know which setting is affecting this behavior?

Requirement Type VSF would be used normally in Make To Order scenario and I am not sure, whether yours is a MTO.  What is the Strategy Group maintained in material master and what Requirement Type is flowing in your sale order?

As you should be aware, system would fetch the Requirement Type in sale order based on Strategy Group.  Also, your requirement is more of PP related configuration than SD related settings.  So better consult with your PP guys.

I checked the settings, and I was able to confirm that the same requirement type is also used for

the delivery item category.

It was also confirmed that "origin of requirement type" was set to 1.

The funny thing is, the requirement record for the delivery note is still in VBBE.

Only the requirement record for the sales order disappears from VBBE when I create a delivery note...

Do you have any idea why this is happening? This is a real difficult problem for me...

Or, is this a PP related matter like Lakshmipathi-san mentioned earlier?

Probably something is happening during the goods movement and the PIR is not being reduced.

I suggest you to take a look on question 9 of the following note:

Yes. I chose a requirement class which does not consume Independent requirement (VSF)

due to the request from the users.

Would this have the direct impact?

Well, we can still see the delivery requirement in VBBE (and MD04), so except for this

open sales order report (that we created), everything is OK...

In that open sales order report, we check the sales order item which is in VBBE table.

Since sales order item of this requirement class gets deleted from VBBE table after we create

a delivery note, we cannot use our open sales order report of this requirement class...

This is such a difficult problem for me...

Hi Takashi

Check the customizing on transaction OVZI and make sure that the same requirement type is assigned to the delivery item category. Also make sure that the field 'Origin of requirement type in requirement type determination' is set to 1.
