Hi ,

Sometime there is thread which was solved by someone else and you know that that thread is there . So you paste the Link of that Thread  In your answer and tell to refer then which is already answered .

Is this against the Rules . I could n't figure out why ?

Many Thanks

sometimes it feels like Groundhog Day, do you know this movie with Bill Murray?

Please search for the most recent discussion with the title "Post has been rejected by an SCN moderator" in the About SCN forum.

I just explained it last week, and as you are good in searching you should easily find this discussion.

It just happens because of link firm.

A beautiful blog was written by , which explain why the reply/blog/document/discussion is rejected.

Read the blog

Its a moderator point of view. We should follow these steps all.

Correct term is link farm, not link firm.

I Would have thought this blog would be more appropriate for explanation for link farms and why we want to avoid them

I think Matthew has given the link of this blog in his blog in option 2.

Link firm is when an entire corporation starts doing it.

Is it a manual process to remove the points by a moderator when he/she rejects certain replies which were marked helpful or correct by the OP?

I don't see that happening. I can see that the moderator is rejecting the replies but not removing the points. There is no point in rejecting the content when the points are not removed.

The intention of the person is to gain points with such replies. As long as the points are not removed he will be happy with those points and he will still do the same mistake.

It's not automatic, so far as I know, and I remove points from such threads where I can.

I have noticed that My point has been removed inspite  of My asnwer marked as correct  . First they mark as correct and after that they went on assumned Answered even my post were not rejected . I have notice this happened with Alot . But can't compalin . As I am happy to help and happy to see  that we have medium to help some or get help from experience people in SAP field .

I wouldn't bet on it. I've recently reported close to 30 posts of a particular user. All the posts were removed by respective Moderators, but the points stayed.
