While upgrading XI3.0 SP09 to SP14, the default SDM password 'sdm' does not work. Is there any other password for deploying SDM or how to change default password?
Thanks a lot all you guys for the solution, also wanted to know if i can upgrade my Java stack from SP 9 to SP 14 through Sapinst
Any detailed note for upgrading XI 3.0 java stack from SP9 - SP14

another way to reset the password to "sdm" is:
go to ".../SDM/program/config/sdmrepository.sdc with a text editor and change the
content of the tag <HashedPassword> with a value
yPLDEBe3oOb6H2mmjJ0zztOgw/A= .After that you try to login to SDM with
password "sdm".Before you change sdmrepository.sdc please make
archive for its old version.

Hi Narendra,
Look at the following forum post answered by my colleague Divakar Salla regarding how he changed the default password.

run /usr/sap/<SYSID>/DVBEMGS<sysnumber>/j2ee/configtool/configtool.bat(sh)
Config Tool->secure store->admin/password/SID
reset the password and you should be good to go.
