ITSM Professional seeking assistance in choosing the right module for a SAP Career

Dear Members,

First thing, pardon my ignorance, am new to here and I am just starting my baby steps with SAP.

I have 6 years of experience in Service operations and I have performoed various roles in Incident, Problem, Change, Release& Configuration Management. To sum it up, I have a pretty decent exposure in the Service Management and strong ITIL capabilities. In my professional tenurity, I have gained some solid experience into Quality Management (Six Sigma Certified) and Project Management (PRince2 Certified).

I have always had an eye of admiration for SAP but never had a chance to venture into it since I found choosing a module which fits me, was too ambiguous. Kindly point me in the right direction in choosing a career with SAP

  • I can understand Testing methodologies very well
  • Pretty strong in ITIL, quality, Project Management skills
  • Though not a master in the DB side, can get there with a lil bit of extra efforts.
  • Unix Skills- I wil rate myself 5 in the scale of 1-10
  • Networking skills- Again, 5
  • Good in understanding BI concepts, reporting and Dashboards.

  • I am ALLERGIC to coding.

1. ITIL Intermediate certified

2. Prince2 Practitioner

3. SIX Sigma Green Belt.

I am looking for an assistance in choosing a right module for me in SAP which compliments my line of work. That way, I can easily relate things while on job. Based on your inputs, I am looking at taking a certification on the module suggested and start my journey with SAP. While you are at it, also share your thoughts about the cost involved, the demand in the market and the pre-requisites (say, technical/domain knowledge etc). Thanks in advance.
