Date Validation in BSP

Hi,

I am using the HTMLB input field on my page to display date using attributes TYPE="DATE" and showHelp="TRUE". It's displaying a calendar when they press value help button and allowing users to select date but at the same time it's allowing the users to enter any values in that input field. Is there any way to restrict the user so that he can only select date through the value help button.

And I am displaying table views on the page with 5 visible rows. If the table contains more than 5 rows it's giving buttons in footer to scroll to set of 5 rows. While doing that it's refreshing entire page .Is there any way to only refresh the table view and the rest of the screen elements stay unchanged?

along with type=date use doValidate="TRUE" this will enable a javascript validation for the input. The users will not be able to submit the form without correct date type.
