md04 Nit showing sub BOM ?

Hi Gurus,

i have created a MTO material With Two Levels Of BOM i ahve created a sales order and created aproduction order Through CO08..

i have not maintained stock for any material,.. when i checked in md04 stock requirement is showing only for first level bom components... for second level bom stock requiremet is not showing.. is this standard behaviour or any errors in proces.....

    Hi Venkat

    This is standard. If you assign a valid MRP type for all the materials (PD for example) and run multi-level MRP for your material (using MD02 for example), system will generate planned orders to cover the requirements for the first level components and those planned orders will generate dependent requirements for the second level.

    Hi Venkat ,

    please check the stock of the second level Item . If the stock is available in the MRP storage location , then the system will not triggers the proposal and depends upon the strategy .. 10 Strategy will consider the stock during the MRP run .
