Hello Experts,
We are using SAP BO 4.0 Information Design Tool and trying to create a connection to oracle 10G XE database.
We are succesful in conneting through SQL Plus & able to ping through tnsping, but not able to connect through IDT
System configuration: Windows 7 64 bit, Oracle 10G XE 32 bit, SAP BO 4.0 SP4
We suspect the issue is due to 64 bit Operating system & 32 bit oracle, please provide your insights to fix this.
Regards,
Ganesh
Hi
For access the oracle data, You need to add the TNS in the BO Server. So check with your admin team TNS is added into the BO server or not.

thank you Sreenivasulu
created TNS in the BO server, still its not working the error is same
In IDT
"DBD: ORA-12154: TNS:could not resolve the connect identifier specifie"
IN UDT error is
" ORA-12154: TNS:could not resolve the connect identifier specified"
same error in both tools.
is this because of OS is win7 64 bit and oracle 10g is 32 bit and SAP BO 4.0 is 64 bit?
Hi
Once the TNS is created in the BO server, you should not get the error.
