WSRs starting incorrectly despite of having correct "start point in PWS".

I have created following PWS.

Grpg PWS   Text        Wee  01 02 03 04 05 06 07
XX    14       10On4Off  001  10 10 10 10 10 10 10
XX    14       10On4off   002  10 10 10 Off off off off

then genrated following WSRs
XXMON1, XXMON2, XXMON3, XXMON4,
XXTUE1, XXTUE2, XXTUE3, XXTUE4 and so on.

When I tested it, XXMON1 starts correctly on Monday.

But all other WSRs are not starting from their respective start point, instead all are starting from Monday only.

e.g. XXTUE1 roster should start from tuesday, but it is starting from monday of that week.

can you please tell where did I make mistake?

Hi Yogiraj,

Hope u solved the issue,

Like the Ref Date of PWS and Start are linked like the date provided in Start Point is the Ref Date of PWS

For Eg: If u have provided 05.01.1990 - Friday and u want the PWS should start from Friday then give the Start Point in PWS as 001, so that WSR is generated will start from Friday.

if you have provided Start point of PWS as 005 then Friday is the 5th point in PWS and so PWS start date is from Monday only.

Thanks

Hello Sai,

I tried changing starting point to 001 but went in vain.

Please find following WSR and PWS screenshots.

Also find test results.

Roster should start on Friday, 4 July 2014 but as shown in below it's starting from MON.

The PWS in your WSR is 14 but the PWS you have displayed is 1314. Can you please replace PWS 14 with 1314 and generate the WSR?

This will resolve your issue.

Hi Yogiraj,

Here 04.01.2013 is Friday and Start Point of PWS  - 005 which means Fiday should be on 5th position.

If you want the the period work schedule to start from Friday then give 001 in Start Point of PWS, then your period work schedule will start from Friday.

Thanks,

Sai

Hello All,

Thanks for your suggestions.

Sai I have already tried that one. Just while capturing screenshot it came older one.

I have been given key date as 07.04.2014(Mon). Does that make any sense in here?

@Vivek: 13 is PS grouping and 14 is PWS.

Hi Yogiraj,

AS Vivek said,  we need to provide the ref date of PWS respectively for Monday provide the date that starts on Monday  - 01.01.1990. and Start point in PWS as 001 in table V_T508A

For Tuesday we can give the Start point as 002 and so on

Thanks

Hello Sai and Vivek,

Thank for reply.

Sai I have done exactly what you have shown in screenashot.

Periods : 01.01.1900 - 31.12.9999

Ref. date for PWS : 04.01.2013(Friday)

Start point in PWS : 005

As per above configuration WSR 10/4FRI1 should start on Friday, but is starts on Monday as I mentioned earlier.

Next roster should start on 4th July i.e. Friday.

As per your post, Do i need to put Ref. date for PWS as immediate previous Monday i.e. 31.12.2012?

Hi Yogiraj,

I think you would have given incorrect reference point in your WSR configuration Table V_T508A.

Please go through the below blog on WSRs and let me know if you still have any queries.

I have explained few scenarios of pattern generation for WSRs.

Let me know if you are not able to address the issue even after going through the blog.

Thanks and regards,
